SCAS, the Society for Companion Animal Studies, supports the understanding that we all benefit physically, emotionally and socially from regular contact with our pets.  SCAS values the importance of pets in society and provides education and awareness to encourage the best practice in supporting the human animal bond and animal assisted interventions.

HABRI, the Human-Animal Bond Research Initiative Foundation, gathers, funds and shares scientific research to demonstrate the positive health impacts of animals on people. Their email newsletter makes really great reading!

Bark & Read, funded by the Kennel Club Charitable Trust, supports and promotes organisations that take dogs into schools as volunteers. Have a look at their website to see why this matters to them and how they support those they care about.

Pets As Therapy is a UK charity.  Their registered volunteers and trustworthy pets visit people in a variety of settings to offer therapeutic care and friendship.
